Description
Reporting to the Chief Building Official, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing plans and inspecting construction projects within the Town of Minto, ensuring that all buildings within the Town are compliant with the provisions of the Ontario Building Code and other applicable laws.

Qualifications
- Certified Building Code Official (CBCO), as assigned by the Ontario Building Officials Association, or willingness to achieve;
- Post-Secondary Education in architectural technology, applied science technology or a related field;
- Good working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code Act and it’s Regulations;
- Familiarity with Building Materials, Construction, and Procedures;
- Ability to read and understand plans, blueprints, and building construction drawings;
- Must hold the appropriate motor vehicle license (G) classification
- The following Provincial Designations Qualifications are required:
- House
- Small Buildings
- Plumbing – All Buildings
- On-Site Sewage Systems
- The following Provincial Designations Qualifications would be considered an asset:
- Large Buildings
- Complex Buildings
- Building Services
- Detection, Lighting & Power
- Fire Protection
- General Legal/Process
